Abstract The growth of a population is dependent on many factors that limit and determine its growth. Load on land and natural resources along with artificial measures have a limiting effect on the growth. This paper discuses the family planning practices of the Nicobarese, an isolated but flourishing population of a small island in the Bay of Bengal.
